What Is CEREC Technology?

CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. It's a state-of-the-art system that combines digital imaging and CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing) technology to design, create, and place restorations such as crowns, onlays, and veneers with incredible precision—all while you relax comfortably in the dental chair.

Instead of relying on traditional methods that require messy impressions, temporary crowns, and multiple visits to complete your treatment, CEREC uses a digital scanner to take a highly accurate 3D image of your tooth. This image is then used to design your custom restoration on a computer, and the final piece is crafted from a block of high-quality ceramic material using an in-office milling machine.

The entire process—from start to finish—can often be completed in just one appointment.
